Training & Development

Your Start at Casa Grande

As a new teacher to our district, you will feel supported from the moment you arrive with our 5-day induction week that introduces you to our CGESD family. During this first week you will be guided through specialized training that touches on subjects such as classroom management, parent communication, and lesson planning. We also provide our new teachers with a mentor to help you secure resources for your lessons and provide general support through your first year of teaching. Each quarter our new teachers attend a new teacher training meeting to further your growth in our district.

We provide an extensive training catalog so even experienced teachers can learn something new and keep up on their CE credits while staying within the school district. Online e-Learning sessions are available to all of teachers free of charge so you can hone your skills at a time that works best for you.

Room to Grow

Oftentimes teachers are provided with great technology to use within their classroom but they may be unsure how to incorporate it into their lesson plans. Throughout the district we have Model Instructional Technology Classrooms where teachers can observe their peers utilizing interactive whiteboards, iPads, laptops, etc. so you can make the most of your lesson plans.

At CGESD you will have room to grow and stretch yourself as an educator through either our Leadership Academy and/or Coaches Academy. Our Leadership Academy is led by one of our veteran Principals and shapes and molds the future leaders of our school district. The Coaches Academy is the best outlet for those that are interested in learning new leadership skills that will allow you to help and support other teachers.
